Bought these because I have a senior (13-year-old) cat with the standard old kitty arthritis in her hips, and I noticed she was starting to avoid jumping up in bed or on the couch with me. Decided upon these because of the adjustable height (I use the base for my bed and the top two steps for the couch), and frankly, because they were super on sale. Now that I have them, I would have easily paid full-price, too — definitely worth the investment!My cats LOVE these steps. They’re sturdy without being heavy and bulky, and there are slight slopes between each step rather than separate, individual steps, which I feel made them easier/less scary for my cats to get used to (and I’d worry about my old lady slipping and getting herself stuck or hurt between steps). Cleaning is easy too — taking a brush to it daily will do, and the cover is removable, so you can chuck it in the wash if you so please.Overall, fantastic steps! My old mama cat is very happy and very comfortable now that she doesn’t have to strain herself to get up anywhere, and my 3-year-old boy loves having a new soft, tall-ish surface to lounge on, too.
