There are dog beds and then there are dog beds. This is like the luxury upgrade. I’m more of an economy grade buyer and try to get the best deals on everything. I’ve had several $30 dog beds for my lab. They fall apart and get dingy pretty quickly, not surprising. Washing them is just never the same if the zipper even makes it that far. So this piazza bed was the perfect square shape that I wanted. At first my dog was skeptical but now he’s in love. I ordered the Large and I think I got the XL (tagged XL) but it’s awesome, if a little on the large side. He loves to curl up and fits right in the middle.It has an awesome handle so I don’t have to hug it when I want to vacuum underneath. The fabric is soft and dark gray (Flint) and reminds me of our couch upholstery. The zipper is on the bottom perimeter of the square and isn’t visible in daily life. I have only had it a month and haven’t washed it yet, but I have no doubt it will be durable and good as new after washing. It is heavy duty and high-end. I know these are expensive but I really do think it’s worth it!FYI - the XL bed arrived in the largest Amazon box I have ever received. I thought it was a mattress. If you are living in an upstairs apartment you will probably have to unpackage it before you take it up!Great size for our yellow lab. This is probably obvious (nothing against the product) but it does show dirt quickly with the light color we got. Needs to be washed frequently.I love these beds, this is the second one I've purchased and the first one has held up beautifully after a few years of use. It is well cushioned and stays supportive over time unlike other dog beds that sag to the floor after a few months. It is also the easiest dog bed to clean; it doesn't trap short fur like some fabrics and it's softer than outdoor/wipe clean dog beds. I just Febreeze it and vacuum it, the fur comes right off. I will continue to buy this style and fabric bed until they stop making them!Btw the picture is both my dogs (a 65 lb boxer/pit mix and a 45 lb who-knows-what) on the large size. They can both fit on the large fairly comfortably. I also bought the medium which fits the 45 lb dog comfortably and the 65 lb dog if he curls up.Great quality bed that looks like it will outlast me, at 50. Coffee color is very accurate. Dark brown; almost the color of coffee and dark chocolate.I’ll start off by saying, I love Bowsers pet beds! The are so well made and hold up well over time! I took off two stars because Amazon does not have all of the pictures and descriptions correct. I ordered the pewter bones even though the picture showed the pecan filigree. Well I received the pecan filigree which is definitely NOT the most attractive looking bed but I’m keeping since the price is almost half of the other more attractive options.Love this so much! I have a large bully breed dog and he loves it. Washes wellThis is our 2nd Bowser bed. One we've had for almost 2 yrs...and it's still in like new condition. I cannot tell which is the new one.The pillows hold up well when washed...easy to assemble and disassemble. A benefit is that it looks like a piece of furniture and goeswell with our decor. And the best part is that both our dogs LOVE their beds and they sleep sound in them...it's hard to wake them up sometimes...they are so comfy.Looks great, easy to wash, Dog enjoys lounging & napping on it so must be very comfortable. We expect to last his entire lifetime. Bowser is the best!
