UPDATE 9/23/24: I have had it in the car for about 3 months, and even though he sits in the exact same place- it still looks brand new. There is no depression where he sits in on it, and the fabric is not damaged from his nails. It vacuums easily, too. I was concerned about the size before I opened the box. It is vacuum sealed, and very, very small. When the 2 plastic wrappers are cut it expands, though. I waited an hour before measuring it. There are several comments about it being huge, but it is exactly the measurements listed in the description. I drive a Honda Element, and it fits perfectly in the front seat, although it does extend slightly (maybe 2") over the emergency brake, but I knew it would. My recently adopted dog wants to sit in my lap while I drive, and that is a big nope for me, so I am hoping he learns where his place is. He is a basset hound/shar-pei, and is about 40lbs. He fit's in it perfectly, and it adds enough height for him that he can see over the dash and out the window. The fabric is super soft, and it seems to be well made.
