First, just look at that face. If that's not an endorsement for this bed, I don't know what is.So, when I first got the bed, I was really disappointed, because it was really soft, but very flat and not at all fluffy. I read the directions about washing it first and didn't see how that could possibly help, but before going through the return process I gave it a try. For anyone who's skeptical about the washing process fixing the bed, well I can say I'm now a believer. It came out of the dryer fluffy and soft. It more than doubled in volume.I set it out on my desk and my grumpy, finicky kitty investigated it and took up residence and now won't share. Again, look at that face. Peacefully sound asleep. And even after a few days of his lard butt it's not showing any sign of compacting, still nice and fluffy. He's not the biggest kitty in the world, but he's not a lightweight either. About 12 pounds or so.I can't speak to longevity yet, but the seams are well sewn, and it came through the washer and dryer cycles with no signs of unraveling or separating.It's a terrific product, and a great value for the price. I will be ordering more now that it's been kitty approved.
